Biography:
Kid Flash is a superhero moniker used by several characters in DC Comics, most notably associated with the Flash family. The most well-known Kid Flash is Wally West.
Wally West was introduced as the nephew of Iris West, who is also the girlfriend and later wife of Barry Allen (the Flash). During a visit to Barry's lab, Wally was struck by electrically-charged chemicals, mirroring the accident that gave Barry his speed powers.
As Kid Flash, Wally became Barry's sidekick, fighting crime alongside him in Central City and Keystone City. He was also a founding member of the Teen Titans.
Following Barry Allen's death in Crisis on Infinite Earths, Wally took on the mantle of the Flash, proving himself a worthy successor. In later storylines, the timeline was altered, and Wally was temporarily erased from existence, eventually returning to reclaim his place in the DC Universe.
